Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Field Engineer - Electrical Testing (NETA Level III/IV) in Atlanta, GA. The role involves performing acceptance, commissioning, and maintenance testing on electrical power systems up to 500kV, with up to 75% travel regionally and nationally.

You will conduct power system studies, test protective relays, study fault conditions, and generate detailed engineering reports. Strong leadership and safety adherence are essential.

Qualifications

• NETA Level III or IV certification current and in good standing.
• 7+ years of hands-on electrical testing experience in medium/high voltage environments.
• Proficiency with NETA MTS/ATS standards and test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance, commissioning, and maintenance testing on electrical power systems up to 500kV.
• Conduct power system studies including short circuit, coordination, arc flash, and power quality analysis.
• Test and calibrate protective relays (electromechanical, solid-state, and microprocessor-based).
• Interpret and analyze test results; author engineering reports with findings and recommendations.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical system failures; mentor Level I/II technicians.
