Job summary

Ledcor Technical Services is seeking experienced Senior Superintendents to join our team for large-scale long-haul fiber installation projects across North America. You will oversee day-to-day field operations, develop project plans, and monitor performance.

This site-based role requires strong leadership, effective communication, and the ability to manage schedules, safety programs, and subcontractors. Travel to various Ledcor project sites across multiple states is required.

Qualifications

8+ years of experience in telecommunications construction supervision.
Knowledge of underground fiber installation using boring and plow equipment.
Post-secondary education in Construction, Engineering, or a related discipline is an asset.
Effective communication and leadership skills.
Ability to directly supervise craft employees as well as sub-contractors.
Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to anticipate and address issues.
Comprehensive knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications, and current construction practices.
Strong organizational and planning skills.

Responsibilities

Will ensure projects meet approved plans, specifications, and building codes
Leads the development of Project Quality Plans and Safety Programs, and oversees incident investigations
Reviews and updates construction schedules, addresses delays, and contributes to project schedules
Estimates activity durations and materials for complex projects
Working knowledge of reporting and tracking of financial aspects of the project
Participates in subcontractor, supplier selection, procurement and negotiations
Will set priorities and allocate resources as needed for the entire field team
Provides leadership and mentorship to project staff and Superintendents
