Job summary

Ledcor Technical Services seeks experienced Senior Superintendents to oversee day-to-day field operations for large-scale fiber installation projects across North America. You will develop project plans, monitor performance, and mentor colleagues while ensuring safety, quality, and adherence to plans and codes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a Telecommunications construction Superintendent.
• Knowledge of aerial and underground fiber installation using boring and plow equipment.
• Post-secondary education in Construction, Engineering, or related discipline is an asset.
• Effective communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to supervise craft employees and sub-contractors.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to anticipate/address issues.
• Comprehensive knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specs, and current practices.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure projects meet approved plans, specifications, and building codes.
• Lead development of Project Quality Plans and Safety Programs; oversee incident investigations.
• Review and update construction schedules; address delays and contribute to schedules.
• Estimate activity durations and materials for complex projects.
• Report and track financial aspects of the project.
• Participate in subcontractor, supplier selection, procurement and negotiations.
• Set priorities and allocate resources for the entire field team.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to project staff and Superintendents.
