Job summary

Ledcor Technical Services is seeking experienced Senior Superintendents to oversee large-scale long-haul fiber installation projects in North America. You will manage day-to-day field operations, develop project plans, monitor performance, and provide expert guidance to project staff and colleagues.

As a senior leader, you will anticipate client needs, drive safety and quality initiatives, and collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely, cost-effective project delivery.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a Telecommunications construction Superintendent.
• Knowledge of underground fiber installation using boring and plow equipment.
• Post-secondary education in Construction or Engineering is an asset.
• Effective communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to supervise craft employees and sub-contractors.
• Strong problem-solving and proactive issue addressing.
• Comprehensive knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications, and current construction practices.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure projects meet approved plans, specifications, and building codes.
• Lead development of Project Quality Plans and Safety Programs, oversee incident investigations.
• Review and update construction schedules, address delays, and contribute to project schedules.
• Estimate activity durations and materials for complex projects.
• Maintain reporting and tracking of financial aspects of the project.
• Participate in subcontractor, supplier selection, procurement and negotiations.
• Set priorities and allocate resources for the field team.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to project staff and Superintendents.
