Job summary

Davalyn Corporation is seeking a Service Manager to lead technical service for metal fabrication equipment nationwide. The role emphasizes hands-on fiber laser experience and broad responsibility for service, customer support, troubleshooting, and field operations.

Ideal candidates bring fiber laser cutting systems knowledge and willingness to travel across the country. Compensation includes base salary in the $80k–$90k range, annual bonus, and relocation assistance.

Qualifications

• Hands-on fiber laser experience required.
• Strong technical understanding of fiber laser cutting systems, including operation, programming, installation and maintenance.
• Experience with CNC press brakes and/or robotic welding systems is highly valuable.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, automation, and machine troubleshooting capabilities.
• Background in applications engineering, field service, or manufacturing environments.
• Leadership experience is valuable; mentoring or training others is a plus.
• Willingness to travel regularly across the United States.
• Relocation assistance available.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for field service activities supporting metal fabrication equipment across the U.S.
• Apply hands-on fiber laser knowledge to diagnose equipment problems, resolve issues, and minimize downtime.
• Organize field resources and priorities for startups, repairs, and scheduled service.
• Serve as a technical resource for customers and service personnel on mechanical, electrical, controls, or machine-performance issues.
• Support customers with equipment operation, troubleshooting, and ongoing technical needs.
• Bring together internal technical and operational resources when complex equipment issues require additional support.
• Help strengthen service practices, training, and troubleshooting methods as the service organization develops.
• Use field experience to identify equipment trends and improve future customer support.
• Develop strong relationships with metal fabricators and industrial customers.
