Job summary

Bodor Laser USA is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support customers with laser machine technology across the United States. You will provide technical advice, on-site service, and remote assistance to ensure optimal laser performance and uptime.

The role requires 3+ years’ experience with automated CNC or fiber laser machines, strong diagnostic skills, and the ability to interpret electrical drawings. Travel within territory is expected, with some domestic and occasional international

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in mechatronics, automation engineering, or electrical engineering.
• 2+ years’ experience on automated CNC machines.
• Experience with fiber laser machines preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the main contact for customers and provide direct support for laser machines via phone, email, chat, and on-site visits.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues and determine necessary actions and parts.
• Track incoming requests and coordinate with customers in the territory to optimize laser usage.
• Perform mechanical repairs at customer sites and assess if special resources or parts are needed.
• Develop and maintain replacement parts lists and ensure stock levels through communication with customers, staff, vendors and manufacturers.
