Job summary

Accura Engineering in Lexington, KY seeks a Project Engineer to provide construction project engineering services, including project observation, quality assurance, contract administration, and reporting to government personnel.

The role supports project delivery by implementing government decisions, reviewing submittals, estimating costs, and assisting with contract modifications, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering ABET-accredited.
• 7+ years of experience in construction project engineering or construction management.
• Experience supporting USACE/DoD or federal construction programs preferred.
• Familiarity with permitting, utilities, and local construction methods.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction, contract administration, and QA activities per contract requirements.
• Review schedules, progress, and payment requests; identify delays and advise on corrective actions.
• Submit QARs within 24 hours of inspections and track deficiencies and RFIs.
• Coordinate with government personnel, contractors, and project teams on safety, quality, and compliance.
• Prepare and review change proposals, price negotiations, and contract modifications.
