Job summary

Accura Engineering in Lexington, KY, is seeking a Project Engineer to provide construction project engineering services, including project observation, quality assurance, contract administration, and reporting to government personnel. The role supports project delivery by implementing government decisions, guidance, laws, regulations, and policies.

The ideal candidate will have ABET-accredited engineering credentials with 7+ years of experience, and familiarity with federal programs.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
• 7+ years of experience in construction project engineering or management.
• Experience with USACE/DoD or federal programs preferred.
• Familiarity with local permitting and utilities.
• Ability to obtain and maintain access to military installations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction, contract administration, and quality assurance activities.
• Monitor projects with field surveillance and prepare daily reports.
• Review schedules, cost proposals, and contractor payments for progress.
• Submit daily QARs and track deficiencies and RFIs.
• Coordinate safety meetings and ensure compliance with EM 385-1-1.
• Prepare change proposals and assist with Government estimates.
• Maintain project files, submittals, and as-built records.
