Job summary

Accura Engineering in Richmond, KY is seeking a Project Engineer to provide construction project engineering services, including project observation, QA, contract administration, and reporting to government personnel.

This role will support construction project delivery by implementing government decisions, guidance, laws, regulations, and policies and assisting with submittal reviews, cost estimates, and contract modifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (ABET-accredited)
• Minimum of seven years of experience in construction project engineering, management, or inspection
• Experience with USACE/DoD or other federal construction programs preferred
• Familiarity with local permitting, utilities, and local construction methods
• Knowledge of QA/QC procedures, contract administration, and safety requirements
• Ability to obtain and maintain access to military installations

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction and contract administration, monitor progress, and prepare reports.
• Analyze design/construction issues, review codes, and advise government personnel on contract compliance.
• Review schedules, progress payments, and identify factors delaying progress; recommend solutions.
• Review Quality Control Plans and safety programs for compliance with contract requirements.
• Prepare and maintain QA records, RFIs, and daily quality assurance inspections.
• Assist in change proposals, cost estimates, and contract modifications; coordinate with stakeholders.
