Planate Management Group is seeking an experienced Construction Inspector to support the U.S. Coast Guard Yard in Baltimore, MD.

The role involves independent construction inspection across ESCO and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and USCG requirements, and documenting progress throughout construction, commissioning, and closeout. The candidate should have extensive field experience, federal project background, and certifications such as PE, PMP, or QA/QC, with

Qualifications

Minimum 10 years in construction inspection or QC.
5 years with PE/PMP or QA/QC cert.
Experience on federal construction projects.
MD state QA/QC experience preferred.
OSHA 10/30 certification required.

Responsibilities

Provide independent construction inspection services for ESCO and subcontractors.
Conduct full-time field surveillance during active construction and demolition.
Verify workmanship and materials meet specs, designs, and contracts.
Inspect delivered equipment against submittals.
Observe and document welds, electrical tests, boiler/pressure vessel inspections.
Maintain deficiency logs and track corrective actions.
Coordinate with prime contractor, subcontractors, USCG personnel, COR, safety officers, and project managers.
Prepare final inspection reports and recommendations to COR/KO.
