Job summary

Project Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Construction Inspector to provide full-time independent inspection and quality assurance for a UESC modernization project at the U.S. Coast Guard Yard in Baltimore, MD.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of construction experience as a Construction Inspector, Contractor Superintendent, or Quality Control Manager, OR
• Minimum 5 years of construction experience as a Construction Inspector, Contractor Superintendent, or Quality Control Manager with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ PE/ PMP/ QA/QC certification within last 10 years
• Candidates must provide documentation supporting all applicable education, certifications, and training

Responsibilities

• Perform full-time, independent construction inspection services for the UESC project at the U.S. Coast Guard Yard, providing day-to-day oversight of construction activities
• Monitor contractor work to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, contract requirements, codes, standards, and regulations
• Conduct site inspections and surveillance of construction, installation, testing, and commissioning activities for ECMs
• Identify, document, report deficiencies, safety concerns, and quality issues, and track corrective actions through resolution
• Review and maintain inspection records, daily reports, photographs, field observations, and project documentation
• Attend project meetings and coordinate with government reps, contractors, and stakeholders
• Witness inspections, equipment testing, startup activities, and commissioning procedures
• Support closeout by reviewing punch lists, validating as-built docs, and assisting with final acceptance inspections
• Provide QA/QC support throughout the lifecycle, including warranty-related concerns
