Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Senior Operations Manager for its Tremont, PA site to oversee budget, people development, and operational objectives. You will lead a team of Operations and Area Managers, coach them to meet performance goals, and drive safety, quality, and customer experience across inbound/outbound operations.

You will implement Lean-inspired improvements, share best practices across shifts and departments, and collaborate with HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT, and other

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon experience.
• 7+ years direct management experience in manufacturing, production or distribution.
• Prior experience with performance metrics, process improvement and Lean techniques.
• Ability to work flexible hours including overnight, weekends and holidays.
• Experience leading a team of Operations and Area Managers.

Responsibilities

• Leads the development and implementation of quality improvement and process optimization initiatives, including Lean methodologies, to enhance operational efficiency within their functional area.
• Responsible for overall performance of either Inbound or Outbound operation, including safety, quality and customer experience
• Sets and clarifies requirements and expectations for Operations and Area Managers. Measures performance, provides feedback, and holds Operations Managers accountable for their performance and the performance of their departments.
• Leverages Operations and Area Managers by sourcing and nurturing ideas, and rolling them into the creation of improvement plans for the functional area.
• Takes proactive steps to ensure that best practices are shared across all departments, shifts and among the network.
• Works closely with support staff (HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT and other Sr. Operations Managers) to build and secure support and resources for projects and initiatives in their area, as well as providing needed support and resources for other staff initiatives.
