Job summary

Airbus Americas, Inc. is seeking a Fatigue & Damage Tolerance Engineer to join the Engineering department in Wichita, KS or Mobile, AL.

You will perform complex FDT analyses on metallic airframe structures, collaborating with design and static stress teams to develop high strength-to-weight solutions. The role requires extensive experience with classical hand calculations and finite element methods (Nastran/Patran/CATIA), mentoring junior analysts, and presenting technical material to project

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• 7+ years of analysis experience on airframe structures, fatigue and/or damage tolerance.
• Proficient in classical and numerical stress analysis methods.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex durability and damage tolerance analyses to verify structural integrity.
• Document analyses for trade studies and airframe sign-off.
• Collaborate with Design and Static Stress teams to optimize solutions.
• Lead and mentor junior analysts, and present technical material to stakeholders.
