Job summary

Airbus is seeking a Fatigue & Damage Tolerance Engineer to support aircraft structures in Wichita, KS or Mobile, AL. The role focuses on complex F&DT analyses for metallic parts, using both hand calculations and finite element methods, in collaboration with design and static stress teams.

The position requires 7+ years of experience in airframe analysis, strong knowledge of fatigue and damage tolerance, and the ability to lead technical teams in a fast-paced environment. Onsite work is expected.

Qualifications

• 7+ years total experience in analysis with airframe structures.
• Experience in fatigue and/or damage tolerance analysis.
• Knowledge of classical and numerical stress analysis methods.
• Ability to lead teams and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex durability and damage tolerance analyses to verify structural integrity.
• Document analyses and support trade studies or sign-offs for airframe structures.
• Collaborate with Design, Static Stress and other Airbus departments on optimum designs.
• Lead and mentor junior analysts and present complex material to stakeholders.
