Airbus Americas, Inc. is seeking a Senior Structure Fatigue & Damage Tolerance Engineer to join our Engineering department in Wichita, KS or Mobile, AL.

You will analyze aircraft structures for fatigue and damage tolerance using hand calculations and FE methods, collaborating with design and stress teams to develop high strength-to-weight structures. The role includes mentoring engineers, leading complex project analyses, and presenting technical material to customers.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Aero, Civil or Mechanical).
• Minimum nine years total experience in analysis with airframe structures, including fatigue/damage tolerance.
• Proficiency in classical and numerical (Finite Element) stress analysis methods.
• Able to lead teams and communicate effectively in English.

Aufgaben

• Autonomously perform complex durability and damage tolerance analyses.
• Document analyses for trade studies or detail drawing sign-off.
• Lead design optimization discussions with Design and Static Stress teams.
• Mentor and provide leadership to less experienced analysts.
• Lead preparation of technical material and presentations for projects.
