Job summary
Advocate Health is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on complex facility systems within the 11918 Lexington Medical Center - Plant Operations.
The role includes supervising and troubleshooting building, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and control systems with on-call duty to ensure 24/7 coverage, and requires advanced training beyond high school and 4+ years of related experience.
Qualifications
- Advanced training beyond high school including the completion of technical training.
- 4+ years of experience in relatable industrial/trades maintenance or operations.
- Trade/Tech School certifications or licenses requiring continuing education.
Responsibilities
- Performs preventive maintenance and technical repairs on complex facility systems.
- Diagnoses and implements repairs for Utility and Infrastructure Systems.
- Installs/replace and maintains building, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and controls systems.
- Operates and monitors advanced utility equipment (generators, plant chillers, steam boilers, fire protection systems, etc.) and utilizes building automation systems to troubleshoot issues.
- Maintains vacuum, compressed air, and medical gas systems
- Reads blueprints, Life Safety drawings and manuals for accurate task completion.
