Job summary

Advocate Health seeks an experienced HVAC technician to perform preventive maintenance and complex repairs across multiple facilities. You will read blueprints, operate building automation systems, and coordinate with vendors to ensure safe and compliant interfacing.

This full-time, day-shift role may require occasional after-hours work. Candidates should have advanced technical training beyond high school, a valid driver’s license, and 5+ years of related experience in facilities maintenance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in industrial/trades maintenance or operations.
• Advanced training beyond high school in a technical field.
• Valid driver’s license and ongoing CEU/licensure as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance and technical repairs on complex facility systems.
• Diagnoses and implements repairs for multiple Utility, Infrastructure and Life Safety Systems.
• Installs, replaces and maintains building, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and controls systems.
• Operates and monitors advanced utility equipment and building automation systems to improve efficiency.
• Maintains vacuum, compressed air, and medical gas systems.
• Reads blueprints and life safety drawings for accurate task completion.
• Coordinates testing, calibrations and maintains maintenance records.
• Interfaces with vendors and contractors for safe interfacing and tie-in.
