Health IT NEWS.Direct! in Aurora, IL is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to perform advanced preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on building systems. You will troubleshoot complex equipment and support operational excellence across the facility.

Responsibilities include servicing HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems; completing work orders and logs; responding to service calls, sometimes after hours; mentoring junior technicians and coordinating with vendors onsite.

Qualifications

• 5+ years commercial/industrial maintenance experience.
• Strong HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical knowledge.
• Able to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manuals.
• CMMS experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair building systems: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, fire protection, and BAS.
• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on assigned equipment.
• Complete work orders and keep maintenance records/logs up to date.
• Respond to service calls and emergencies, including some after-hours/on-call support.
• Support facility projects (installs, upgrades, repairs) and coordinate with vendors onsite.
• Track spare parts/supplies and flag reorder needs.
• Follow safety protocols (LOTO, OSHA, confined space, fall protection).
• Mentor junior technicians and share best practices.
