Job summary

Chapters Health System is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair facilities and equipment across our properties. You will oversee HVAC contractors, ensure compliance with life-safety standards, and manage purchasing requests.

Role requires at least 3 years in maintenance, strong plumbing/electrical knowledge, and ability to travel to site locations. On-call duties may apply, with a focus on reliable facility operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or trade school training.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in general maintenance/repair of equipment.
• Knowledge of electrical circuits and NEC requirements related to facilities.
• Ability to read and interpret plumbing schematics and plumbing safety knowledge.
• Ability to sweat or cement pipe joints and operate pipe-clearing equipment.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work with limited supervision.
• Knowledge of OSHA and NFPA safety standards.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to off-site locations.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and maintains building and repairs as directed by Facilities Manager.
• Oversees contractors for HVAC and other disciplines and manages major repairs or purchases.
• Maintains fire prevention and suppression equipment in compliance with regulatory agencies.
• Submits purchase orders and initiates Capital Expenditure Requests as directed.
• Monitors HVAC systems to ensure service requirements and compliance with Joint Commission and AHCA standards.
• Acts as consultant to obtain best value for contractor services and sets service frequencies per regulatory guidelines.
• Maintains lean spare parts inventory and a clean, safe shop.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Facilities Manager.
