Job summary

PMCS Group, Inc. is seeking experienced Project Managers to lead initiatives across Oakland, Sacramento, Berkeley, Richmond, Riverside, and other sites including Washington D.C.

The role requires 5+ years of PM experience across programming, design, permitting, construction, and close-out, with a licensed professional or CCM credential and strong communication skills. Experience managing projects in occupied facilities and coordinating multi-discipline teams is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience across programming, design, permitting, construction, and close-out.
• Licensed professional or Certified Construction Manager (CCM).
• Education in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to independently manage all aspects of a project.
• Ability to set and manage expectations in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop project plans, budgets, schedules, procurement strategies, risk registers, and stakeholder communication plans.
• Coordinate feasibility studies, programming, design, engineering, cost estimating, and other consultant services.
• Coordinate work among university departments, occupants, facilities staff, consultants, contractors, vendors, and authorities having jurisdiction.
• Manage project meetings, action items, records, reporting, and approvals.
• Support procurement, consultant and contractor selection, contract administration, and change management.
• Monitor budget, schedule, scope, quality, and risks; identify issues and propose corrective actions.
• Plan and coordinate construction in occupied or operational facilities, including phasing and safety communications.
• Provide project management support for urgent, short-term, or multi-phase assignments.
