Job summary

Chugach Government Solutions is seeking an Operations Manager to lead a large, multi-faceted facility maintenance contract on site in California. You will develop, implement and optimize operations, supervise a diverse team, and coordinate with safety, QC, procurement and customer stakeholders to ensure quality and compliance.

The ideal candidate has ten years in facilities ops, four years in a management role with large teams, and a background in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building

Qualifications

• Ten (10) years of experience in facilities operations and maintenance type work.
• Four (4) years in a management role overseeing the operation and maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing systems and personnel. Management role inclusive of at least 30 personnel.
• Bachelor’s degree or trade license in a professional field.
• Demonstrated ability and experience to manage a large facilities management contract with similar scope of work and duties.
• Understanding of Government contracts, correspondence, reports and records.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manages and oversees all routine facilities maintenance and repair programs. Coordinates with all other contract departments as needed.
• Oversees and provides direct supervision of lower tier sub-departments and their functions.
• Plans, directs, coordinates, and reviews the work plan for assigned staff; assigns work activities, projects, and programs; reviews and evaluates work products, methods, and procedures.
• Works with all lower tier Facility Personnel to direct effective work execution for building systems such as HVAC, electrical, building controls, plumbing, fire alarm, sprinkler, carpentry, masonry, storm water, site infrastructure.
• Develops and utilizes metrics (KPIs) to measure and improve crucial department functions.
• Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with the customer and company personnel.
