Job summary

Chugach Government Solutions seeks an Operations Manager to lead a large, multifaceted facility maintenance and repair contract on-site at Moffett Field, California. You will develop, implement, and oversee operational planning, budgets, and KPIs to ensure safe, reliable building services for government customers.

The role requires 10+ years in facilities operations, 4+ years in management, and a degree in business/engineering.

Qualifications

• Ten (10) years of experience in facilities operations and maintenance type work.
• Four (4) years in a management role overseeing the operation and maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing systems and personnel. Management role inclusive of at least 30 personnel.
• Demonstrated ability and experience to manage a large facilities management contract with similar scope of work and duties.
• Understanding of Government contracts, correspondence, reports and records.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee routine facilities maintenance and repair programs and coordinate with other contract departments as needed.
• Oversees and provides direct supervision of lower tier sub-departments and their functions.
• Plans, directs, coordinates, and reviews the work plan for assigned staff; assigns work activities, projects, and programs.
• Works with all lower tier Facility Personnel to direct effective work execution for building systems such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.
• Analyzes contract work and ensures all activities performed are in scope.
• Monitors and evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery methods and procedures; recommends appropriate service and staffing levels.
• Participates in the development and administration of project goals, objectives, and procedures. Prepares and administers large program budgets.
• Develops and utilizes metrics (KPIs) to measure and improve crucial department functions.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business/Management/Engineering or equivalent trade license
