Job summary

Chugach Government Solutions seeks an Operations Manager for a large facilities maintenance contract at Moffett Field, CA. You will lead planning, execution, and performance across building systems, ensuring safe and efficient operations for government facilities.

Qualifications

• Ten years of experience in facilities operations and maintenance.
• Four years in a management role overseeing HVAC, electrical, plumbing and personnel (≥30 staff).
• Bachelor’s degree in Business/Management/Engineering or a trade license.
• Experience managing a large facilities management contract with similar scope.
• Understanding of Government contracts, correspondence, reports.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage labor, track costs, and optimize resources.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• U.S. Citizenship.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Oversee routine facilities maintenance and repair programs.
• Supervise lower-tier sub-departments and their functions.
• Plan and direct work activities; assign projects and review results.
• Direct work on building systems such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety.
• Analyze contract work to ensure in-scope activities.
• Monitor service delivery efficiency and staffing levels.
• Develop and administer project budgets.
• Develop KPIs to measure department performance.
• Lead meetings with stakeholders and maintain relationships.
• Interpret policies and safety procedures.
• Respond to emergencies.
• Possibly operate government/company vehicles.
• Adhere to safety policies.
• Perform other duties.
