Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a results-driven Facilities Manager to oversee daily operations of commercial facilities in Chicago, ensuring a safe, efficient, and compliant workplace. You will manage building systems, vendor coordination, preventive maintenance, budgets, and capital projects to support client satisfaction.

You will lead cross-functional teams, manage service contracts, and implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining exceptional service standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Corporate Real Estate, Project Management, or Business Administration.
• A minimum of 5-7 years of commercial high-rise, campus or portfolio management experience.
• Experience with leasing, construction, engineering and all facets of property operation.
• CMMS/Work Order management experience preferred.
• CFM/IFMA/BOMA certifications recommended; other training preferred.
• Ability to read construction specifications and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Facility Manager and oversee facilities at Chicago locations.
• Supervise operations of Owner’s facilities located in Chicago, IL.
• Maintain facility management policies and records; ensure compliance with codes and directives.
• Coordinate moves and furniture changes for staff relocations.
• Initiate purchase requests, authorize expenditures within delegated authority.
• Administer service contracts; solicit bids and manage contracted services.
• Maintain work orders, space management and preventive maintenance tracking.
• Support budgeting and capital expenditure planning for facilities.
• Coordinate IT service support with vendors and internal teams.
