Job summary

JLL is seeking a Facilities Manager to lead and develop a high-performing Facility Management team for client portfolios in the United States. The role focuses on delivering exceptional service, financial stewardship, and strong stakeholder relationships across engineering, transactions, and projects.

You will drive continuous improvement, leverage data analytics for performance, and champion the adoption of AI tools to enhance operations and cost efficiency within the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent
• 8-10 years of facility management experience
• Excellent internal and external customer service
• Strong leadership and relationship building skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and problem-solving ability
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work across organizational boundaries and build productive relationships
• Knowledge of standard commercial real estate, business, and accounting practices
• Knowledge or willingness to utilize AI tools and technologies as part of daily work
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, Access)
• Knowledge of Excel and data analysis

Responsibilities

• Develop an accountable, cohesive, customer-focused Facility Management team through active management, support, and leadership
• Manage the performance and outcomes of assigned staff reporting to the position
• Foster collaboration within the facility management team to deliver integrated facility management services across all business lines
• Execute successful team building with people management experience and strong interpersonal skills
• Lead overall team management, staff development, and planning
• Participate in the compensation planning process
• Build actionable and measurable career development plans for direct reports
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation by leveraging BI, best practices, tools and re-engineering
• Provide superior client service while exercising responsibility for facility management services
• Present operational performance updates, strategic recommendations, and business cases to senior stakeholders
• Translate complex technical information into compelling narratives to drive decisions
• Deliver on financial planning routines and manage property budgets
• Ensure facilities meet client standards and safety requirements
• Support cost reduction programs to reduce operating costs
• Ensure compliance with laws and portfolio-wide initiatives
• Manage budget variances and risk across facilities
• Lead cross-functional projects with multiple departments and stakeholders
• Actively explore AI/automation to enhance efficiency and decision-making
• Perform additional job duties as requested
