Venturi Astrolab, Inc. in Hawthorne, CA is seeking a Senior Export Compliance Specialist to lead U.S. export controls and sanctions compliance across programs and partnerships.

You will drive EAR/ITAR classifications, ECCN determinations, license management, KYC due diligence, and risk mitigations, collaborating with Legal, Sales, and Supply Chain to enable mission-focused operations. The role requires deep subject‑matter expertise and proactive monitoring of regulatory changes to protect the

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years export compliance experience with EAR exposure.
• 5+ years evaluating export jurisdiction and classifications for products, software, or tech including ECCNs.
• 5+ years preparing and managing export license applications under EAR.

Mansioni

• Manage export controls and sanctions programs including screening and end‑use reviews.
• Perform KYC and enhanced due diligence for high‑risk relationships with cross‑functional teams.
• Provide SME guidance on export classification for products, software, and tech.
• Serve as an SME on products and technology under U.S. export control rules.
• Prepare CCATS and CJ requests to BIS/DDTC and manage agency interactions.
• Determine licensing requirements for exports, including restricted destinations and end users.
• Draft and manage export licenses via SNAP‑R and monitor conditions and renewals.
• Oversee license exceptions and related record‑keeping requirements.
• Coordinate Technology Control Plans for controlled technology and deemed exports.
• Design, maintain, and implement trade compliance policies aligned with BIS/OFAC regs.
• Monitor regulatory developments and assess impact on the business.
