Qualifications

• Five or more years of progressively responsible experience in export controls, trade compliance, or a closely related field.
• Working knowledge of ITAR and EAR and their application to contracts, data, products, services.
• Experience reviewing and negotiating contracts or other business agreements with export-control terms.
• Experience conducting restricted-party screening, transaction reviews, export classification, export documentation, and export authorization activities.
• Ability to interpret complex regulatory and contractual requirements and translate them into practical language.
• Ability to handle confidential, sensitive, and controlled information.
• Experience negotiating export-control clauses with U.S. Government or commercial customers.
• Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS.
• Experience handling CUI per federal requirements.
• Experience with DDTC, BIS, export licensing, or regulatory authorizations.
• Experience supporting USML/ECCN classification, jurisdictional assessments, TAAs/MLAs, or related controls.
• Familiarity with export-compliance software, ERP systems, or cybersecurity controls.
• Professional certification in export or trade compliance.

Responsibilities

• Support export-control awareness and training on contractual flow-downs and controlled data.
• Assist internal reviews, audits, investigations, and regulatory reporting.
• Investigate and document potential unauthorized access or export violations; escalate as needed.
• Help embed compliance requirements into day-to-day activities across functions.
• Review contracts and supplier engagements for export-control obligations and risk.
• Coordinate with Legal and Compliance leadership to resolve issues and communicate requirements.
