Job summary

CrowdStrike is seeking a security researcher to analyze in-the-wild exploits, learn intrusion techniques, and document findings. You will work in the Technical Analysis Cell to develop automation, signatures, and actionable intelligence for defense.

The role focuses on vulnerability/Exploit analysis, intelligence reporting, and collaboration across teams to enhance mitigation strategies and products. Remote-friendly with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in exploitation techniques for userspace and kernel-level vulnerabilities.
• Knowledge of common network service exploitation techniques.
• Solid understanding of Windows and at least one more OS platform.
• Familiarity with web-based exploitation vectors.
• Strong collaborative mindset and teamwork.
• Experience with reverse engineering tools and processes.
• Programming/scripting skills in Python.
• Ability to use AI tools to speed vulnerability research and validate findings.

Responsibilities

• Implement tracking systems to inform adversary tracking based on observed exploitation.
• Improve detection of exploits and malicious payloads using available data sources.
• Identify new data sources to increase threat visibility.
• Maintain in-depth understanding of exploit internals via reverse engineering.
• Develop tools to automate exploit analysis across static/dynamic analysis.
• Create classification framework for intrusion activity based on exploits.
• Contribute to active mitigation with technical expertise.
• Develop host/network signatures for large-scale hunting and prevention.
• Produce high-quality threat intelligence reports with mitigation guidance.
• Brief stakeholders across CrowdStrike Intelligence and customer-facing teams.
