Job summary

CrowdStrike Intelligence is seeking a motivated security researcher with excellent technical skills to research in-the-wild exploits and document exploitation techniques. This is a defensive role focused on analysis, reverse engineering, and reporting across platforms.

You will develop tools and signatures, produce threat intelligence for multiple audiences, and collaborate across teams to improve exploit mitigation.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in exploitation techniques commonly seen in userspace and kernel-level exploits.
• Knowledge of network service exploitation techniques.
• Solid understanding of Windows and other OS platforms.
• Familiarity with web-based exploitation vectors.
• Collaborative mindset and strong team player.
• Proficiency with reverse engineering tools (disassemblers, decompilers, debuggers).
• Knowledge of programming/scripting languages, especially Python.
• Ability to use LLMs and AI-assisted tools to accelerate vulnerability research and verify findings.
• Proven experience applying AI to improve workflows and outcomes.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly in writing.

Responsibilities

• Implement tracking systems for cross-team adversary tracking.
• Improve detection of exploits and malicious payloads.
• Increase threat visibility using new data sources.
• Reverse engineer exploits to understand inner workings.
• Develop automation tools to assist exploit analysis.
• Create classification frameworks for intrusion activity.
• Contribute to mitigation efforts with technical expertise.
• Develop host/network signatures for large-scale hunting and prevention.
• Produce high-quality threat intelligence with actionable guidance.
• Brief various audiences and collaborate across teams.
