Job summary

AmTrust Financial Services, Inc. is seeking an Executive Underwriter in the Specialty Casualty area to join our growing team. You will underwrite and manage a portfolio of high-hazard liability risks, focusing on construction, products liability, hospitality and distressed premises.

You will lead risk analysis, pricing, and contract negotiations, with travel up to 25% and a strong emphasis on broker development, profitability, and adherence to E&S guidelines and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in underwriting or risk assessment for liability lines.
• 10+ years in Excess and Surplus lines with higher-hazard risks.
• BA/BS degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
• CPCU or related Insurance Designation preferred.
• Knowledge of commercial E&S lines and regulatory adherence.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and manage a portfolio of hard-to-place liability risks.
• Develop pricing, analyze exposures, and negotiate contracts.
• Drive broker development and manage production sources.
• Collaborate with underwriting, legal and claims on product strategies and initiatives.
• Lead for emerging exposures/issues when assigned.
• Travel up to 25%.
