Travelers in Hartford, CT, is seeking a Major Case Specialist in Excess Casualty to manage high-exposure injury and property-damage claims. You will investigate, reserve, negotiate, and coordinate with counsel to resolve complex matters with oversight from senior management.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree, 5+ years in bodily injury or related claims, and an active adjuster license. Expect a hybrid work arrangement and ongoing regulatory compliance across states.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree required; five+ years of complex bodily injury claim and litigation experience.
• Active adjuster license where required by state law.
• Experience with claims management software and Microsoft Office.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to synthesize complex information.
• Knowledge of ISO forms, insurance principles, and regulatory requirements.

Mansioni

• Independently manage a high-exposure injury/property damage caseload from first notice of loss to resolution.
• Conduct detailed investigations to determine liability and damages and establish reserves.
• Negotiate with claimants and legal representatives to reach fair resolutions.
• Coordinate with Counsel on litigation strategies and manage litigation activities.
• Prepare reports on claim status and trends for senior management.
