Travelers in Colorado is hiring a Major Case Specialist, Excess Casualty, to investigate, evaluate, reserve, negotiate, and resolve high-exposure injury and property damage claims with authority. You will serve as a technical resource to claims teams, partners, customers and stakeholders.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Five+ years of complex, bodily injury claim and litigation experience.
• Active adjuster license, where required by state law.
• Experience with claims management and estimating software, with advanced skills in Microsoft Office and enterprise technology systems and platforms.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to understand, synthesize, interpret, and convey complex information to multiple stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to make independent decisions and handle complex claims, evaluate severe losses, and negotiate settlements strategically.
• Exceptional customer service skills; ability to manage relationships with key stakeholders while delivering a positive experience.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to manage a high-volume workload.
• Expert-level negotiation and conflict resolution skills with the ability to apply strategic claim handling practices.
• Thorough understanding of insurance principles, policy language, exclusions, and ISO forms.

Aufgaben

• Independently manage an active caseload of injury and/or property damage claims and litigation from first notice of loss through resolution within authority.
• Conduct detailed investigations to gather evidence, assess liability and determine damages and reserves.
• Evaluate claim information to make informed decisions regarding coverage and resolutions.
• Engage in negotiations with claimants, legal representatives, and other parties to achieve fair resolutions.
• Develop and execute advanced resolution strategies and coordinate internal and external resources for investigations and evaluations.
• Prepare and present detailed reports on claim status, trends and outcomes to senior management.
• Work closely with legal, underwriting, and other departments to ensure coordinated claim handling.
• Partner with Counsel to develop and execute litigation management strategies.
• Maintain comprehensive records of all claim activities and communications.
• Identify areas to improve current best practices and offer creative solutions.
• Adapt to AI and digital tool rollouts while maintaining productivity.
