Job summary

Serco is seeking a Subject Matter Expert Systems Engineer to support classified DoD programs at Wright Patterson AFB, OH. You will specialize in aircraft sub-system integration, airworthiness, and electronic warfare, with a Top Secret/SCI eligible clearance.

As a major part of the Special Programs Division, you will translate user requirements into system requirements, guide hardware/software development, and present technical analyses.

Qualifications

• Active TOP-SECRET clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI.
• Master's degree in an engineering discipline with 20+ years of DoD-related experience.
• Minimum 3 years SAP or SCI experience within the last 5 years.
• Ability to travel up to 10% (CONUS).

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME in electronic warfare and systems engineering for classified programs.
• Translate operational requirements into contract system requirements documents.
• Apply systems engineering for modifications, hardware/software development, configuration management, data rights, and quality assurance.
• Develop and present technical briefs and engineering strategies/analyses and documents.
• Interface with weapons system contractors, vendors, and Government representatives on engineering activities.
• Assess AFRL technology initiatives to guide investments and transition strategies.
• Develop system-of-systems architectures and digital transformation strategies.
• Implement aircraft airworthiness, risk management, and obsolescence tracking processes.
• Evaluate contractor design changes and oversee deficiencies correction.
• Support all phases of subsystem and system-level integration and testing.
• Assess contractor capabilities to meet design requirements.
• Perform technical risk assessments and mitigation plans.
• Develop RFP technical documents and conduct evaluations of contractor proposals.
