Job summary

Amex GBT is seeking a Team Leader to run the program team, manage budgets, and serve as the client’s primary delivery contact for multi-program corporate meetings and events. You will lead Sr Meeting Managers, Meeting Managers, and coordinators, ensuring delivery from kickoff to onsite execution.

You will own master timelines, vendor contracts, registration and housing, plus data privacy and reporting. A CMP/CMM background is preferred and a track record of high-value conferences is required.

Qualifications

• Eight or more years delivering large corporate meetings and events.
• Experience leading a team of meeting professionals through full program cycles.
• Ownership of multimillion dollar program budgets with forecasts and reconciliations.
• Delivery of large conferences with thousands of attendees.
• Advanced Cvent proficiency and Smartsheet expertise.
• Executive presence and strong written client updates.

Responsibilities

• Lead the dedicated account program team and manage assignments and coverage.
• Own delivery from planning kickoff through onsite execution, including conferences.
• Serve as the client's primary delivery contact and manage status reporting.
• Own program budgets, forecasts, change control and financial reporting.
• Maintain master timelines and ensure on-time milestones.
• Oversee registration, housing, attendee communications, and data privacy.
• Lead supplier and venue management across the portfolio.
• Oversee onsite delivery with staffing plans and run of show ownership.
• Maintain program documentation and debriefs for renewal value.
• Collaborate with the Head of Event Operations on scope and staffing.
