Senior Events Lead — VIP Tech & Space Experiences

Job summary

SpaceXSI is seeking an Events Lead to own external-facing events from concept to onsite execution. You will collaborate with Growth, Sales, Field Growth, Community and Developer Relations to expand SpaceXSI's reach and drive enterprise awareness and product attachment.

You will manage VIP and third-party events, source vendors, design branding, and oversee budgets and schedules while leveraging AI to streamline administrative tasks. Travel is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in event planning in a fast-paced and tech-forward environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, event management, hospitality, or related field preferred.
• Experience in venue sourcing, vendor procurement, décor, F&B, logistics and entertainment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to lead multiple complex workstreams.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute VIP events, special events, 3rd party events, and customer experiences from start to finish, including sourcing and managing vendors.
• Develop and manage event agendas, registration, invite lists, and communicate with executive customers.
• Provide onsite event management, including evening receptions and weekend events.
• Ideate and implement branding elements, décor, activations, themes, and custom elements to enhance experiences.
• Lead administrative tasks: supply ordering, budgets, payment processing, shipping, inventory.
• Use AI to create efficiencies and automate department processes and workflows in event planning.
• Collaborate with Merchandising for gifting and decor items.
• Coordinate with security teams for guest clearances.
