Job summary

SpaceXSI is seeking an Events Lead to own external-facing events from concept through production and onsite execution. The role sits on the Events team and collaborates with Growth, Sales, Field Growth, Community, and Developer Relations to expand SpaceXSI's reach, build relationships, and drive enterprise awareness and product attachment.

The position requires travel, willingness to work extended hours including weekends, and the ability to pass Air Force and NASA background checks for access

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
• 5+ years of experience in event planning in a fast-paced and tech-forward environment.
• Hands-on experience in venue sourcing, event design, vendor procurement, décor, food and beverage, logistics and entertainment.
• Strong communication skills to ensure high-quality experiences across multiple programs and teams.
• Highly operational focused and can manage multiple complex workstreams, managing agencies and production partners.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute VIP events, special events, 3rd party events, and customer experiences from start to finish, including sourcing and managing event vendors such as venue, transportation, catering, A/V and entertainment.
• Develop and manage event agendas, registration, invite lists, and communicate directly with high-level executive customers.
• Provide onsite event management, including evening receptions and weekend events.
• Ideate and implement creative branding elements, such as décor, interactive activations, themes, and custom elements, to enhance attendee experiences.
• Lead administrative tasks for the department, including supply ordering, budget tracking, payment processing, shipping coordination, and inventory oversight with our fulfillment center.
• Use AI extensively in the workplace to create efficiencies and automate department processes and workflows to eliminate and streamline the administrative tasks our department must carry as part of event planning.
• Work with the Merchandising Team on customer and event gifting and branded décor items.
• Work with security teams to facilitate guest security clearances.
