Job summary

Encore in Boston seeks a Sr. Technical Lead to bridge between technical lead and specialist, overseeing small general sessions and assisting with larger events. Reports to Operations leadership.

The role requires strong AV operation skills, customer service excellence, and the ability to mentor staff. Work includes pre- and post-event coordination, on-site supervision, and ensuring equipment security and reliability across hotel and venue environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2+ years of field experience in the specialty area required.
• 2-3 years of customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
• Must meet training/certification requirements within 60 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Operate, set up, troubleshoot, and breakdown advanced AV equipment per program requirements.
• Deliver excellent customer service and maintain client relationships during events.
• Mentor and coach staff to develop technical and leadership skills.
• Supervise technicians during events and coordinate with operations teams.
• Assist with equipment security, storage, transport, and inventory forecasting.
