Job summary

Amex GBT is seeking an experienced Event Manager to plan and deliver programs end to end for a dedicated Experience Studio team built around one enterprise client, collaborating with a producer on strategy, budget, and content.

You will own budgets, onsite logistics, and supplier management; coordinate Attendee Experience, and lead multiple programs—typically ten or more onsite annually—while ensuring timely close and debriefs.

Qualifications

• Four or more years planning corporate meetings and events.
• Experience as onsite lead on ten or more programs a year.
• Independent management of program budgets up to $500,000, with forecasts & reconciliations.
• Knowledge of hotel and supplier contracts, banquet orders, and cost details (attrition, minimums, overtime, changes).
• Strong command of Cvent and enterprise project tools.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver programs end to end from kickoff through onsite execution.
• Keep program plans current in client tools with tasks, owners, and dates.
• Build and manage budgets up to $500,000, with larger programs handled with a Senior Event Manager.
• Manage hotels, venues, transportation, F&B, and AV within procurement rules.
• Coordinate Attendee Experience on registration, housing, and communications.
• Lead onsite for programs, including staffing and run of show.
• Carry multiple programs at different stages, ten+ onsite per year.
• Close programs on time with invoices, reconciliations, and debriefs.
• Maintain planning files and notes for easy transfer to another manager.
• Raise risks early to producer and Studio Operations Manager with recommendations.
