Rivian is seeking a Senior Field Service Technician to serve as a technical expert and leader in supporting complex vehicle repairs and field operations. The role is based primarily at a service center in Montana, with possible travel to remote locations or production plants as business needs demand.

You will mentor junior technicians, drive continuous improvement, and tackle challenging diagnostics using tools like PICO-Scope, PCAN, and breakout boxes, while ensuring repair quality and accurate

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Graduation from automotive repair program preferred.
• Minimum age 21 and valid driver’s license.
• Ability to travel to regional locations or production plants as needed.
• Proficient in Windows/Mac environments and work order systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform bumper-to-bumper diagnostics and complex repairs in service centers and field settings.
• Provide high-level diagnostic guidance and remote troubleshooting for field teams.
• Coach, mentor, and train junior technicians and partners.
• Use specialized diagnostic tools to resolve HV and network faults.
• Lead continuous improvement and standardization of repair workflows.
• Oversee parts operations including ordering, inventory, and billing.
• Engage professionally with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
