Job summary

Rivian is seeking an experienced Senior Field Service Technician to lead complex vehicle repairs and field operations, primarily at a service center with potential remote work, travel to remote locations, or plant assignments.

You will mentor junior technicians, drive continuous improvement, and handle high‑voltage and network diagnostics using specialized tools, while collaborating with customers and internal teams to resolve escalations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Automotive repair schooling or vocational program preferred.
• State mechanic certs where required by jurisdiction.
• Clean driving record and ability to travel for work.

Responsibilities

• Perform bumper-to-bumper diagnostics and complex repairs in service centers and in field settings.
• Provide high-level diagnostic guidance and remote troubleshooting for field teams.
• Coach, mentor and train junior technicians and partner teams.
• Use specialized diagnostic tools to resolve HV and network faults.
• Conduct road tests and drive process improvements across repair workflows.
• Oversee parts operations and document feedback to engineering.
