Job summary

Rivian Automotive seeks an experienced Senior Field Service Technician to lead advanced vehicle diagnostics and repairs both in centers and on remote assignments. You will mentor junior technicians, drive improvements in repair processes, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex HV and network faults.

You will work primarily at service centers with travel to customer sites, production plants, or mobile routes as required by business needs, applying high-level problem solving

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Graduation from automotive repair school or vocational program preferred.
• Minimum age 21 with valid driver's license.
• Willingness to travel to regional locations or production plants as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform bumper-to-bumper diagnostics and complex repairs in service centers and at customer sites.
• Provide high-level diagnostic guidance and remote troubleshooting for field teams.
• Coach, mentor, and train junior technicians and foster cross-functional collaboration.
• Utilize specialized diagnostic tools to resolve complex electrical, HV, and network faults.
• Conduct road tests to verify repair quality and drive continuous improvement in workflows.
• Oversee parts operations including ordering, receiving, inventory management and billing.
