Job summary

Rivian seeks an experienced Senior Field Service Technician to lead advanced diagnostics and field repairs across service centers, mobile routes, and plants. You will mentor junior technicians, drive continuous improvement, and handle high-voltage and network systems with autonomy and teamwork.

Bases primarily at a regional service center, with possible travel to remote sites or production facilities to support complex issues and remote diagnostics while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years automotive repair experience preferred.
• 3–8+ years hands-on HV systems experience preferred.
• Experience in leadership or supervisory roles.
• Background in continuous improvement and escalation management.

Responsibilities

• Perform bumper-to-bumper diagnostics and complex repairs in service centers and field settings.
• Provide high-level diagnostic guidance and remote troubleshooting.
• Coach, mentor, and train junior technicians and drive cross-functional collaboration.
• Use specialized diagnostic tools (PICO-Scope, PCAN, Kavaser Memorator) to resolve HV and network faults.
• Conduct road tests to verify repair quality and champion process standardization across workflows.
• Oversee complex parts operations: ordering, receiving, inventory, and billing.
• Document feedback and root-cause analysis for engineering and field leadership.
