Job summary

Turner Construction Company in Philadelphia seeks an experienced estimator to support the preconstruction phase. You will assist in value engineering, budget control, and constructability studies while ensuring bids and GMPs are well-supported by current pricing data.

You will collaborate with project teams, prepare trade partner bids, and lead or support estimate reviews with owners, architects, and engineers to finalize documentation for client delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field; 8+ years of experience.
• Experience in project engineering, field supervision or purchasing.
• Knowledge of construction materials, systems and trade practices.
• Ability to read and interpret contract documents, drawings and schedules.
• Strong communication and managerial capabilities; willing to travel.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Preconstruction Manager in estimating during the launch process.
• Coordinate trade partner bid lists with procurement for pricing and bidding.
• Lead review meetings with owner, architect, and engineer for Preconstruction.
• Prepare analysis and communicate variances clearly to project stakeholders.
• Ensure pricing reflects current design documents, bids, and budgets.
• Utilize BIM for quantity take-off and estimate support.
• Assist in GMP documentation and bid package preparation.
