Job summary

Turner Construction Company in Philadelphia, PA is seeking an experienced Estimator for preconstruction support. You will assist lead estimators in all estimating functions during the launch phase, performing quantity take-offs, value engineering, and pricing with input from subcontractors.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management, 8+ years of experience, and strong communication, computer, and BIM skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Building Construction or related field, plus 8+ years experience.
• Experience in project engineering, field supervision or purchasing.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedule.
• Strong communication and leadership capabilities.
• Travel required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate in estimating functions during preconstruction launch.
• Coordinate trade partner bid lists for pricing and bidding.
• Lead review meetings with owner, architect, and engineer.
• Prepare comparison analyses explaining variances to stakeholders.
• Utilize BIM for quantity take-off and visualization to support estimates.
• Lead or support lump-sum bid process and GMP documents.
