Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking a Preconstruction Estimator to support Lead Estimators during the Launch phase of preconstruction. You will assist with value engineering, budget controls, and GMP preparation, using BIM for take-off and collaborating with owners and design professionals.

The role requires comprehensive knowledge of construction methods, strong communication, and a minimum 8 years of related experience. Travel and site visits are expected as part of the duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Building Construction or similar; minimum 8 years of experience or equivalent
• Experience in project engineering, field supervision or purchasing
• Familiar with estimating documents and ability to analyze documents
• Professional verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Preconstruction Manager in estimating functions throughout preconstruction phase
• Coordinate trade partner bid lists with procurement for budget pricing and bidding
• Lead review meetings with owner, architect, and engineer related to Preconstruction phase
• Prepare comparison analyses to explain variances for project stakeholders
• Visit project sites to evaluate conditions and capture scope not in design documents
