Layton Construction is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead the preparation of estimates for diverse projects, ensuring cost accuracy and professional communication with Owners and teams. The role reports to senior leadership and collaborates with architects and subcontractors to deliver competitive bids.

Candidates should have 5+ years in commercial construction estimating, strong knowledge of design phases, and proficiency with major estimating tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction-related field or equivalent education and experience.
• Over five years’ experience in estimating commercial construction projects, demonstrating competence in hard-bid, design-build, and conceptual estimating.
• Knowledge of all construction systems and disciplines to complete comprehensive cost estimates.

Responsibilities

• Champions The Layton Way by delivering predictable outcomes for internal teams, external teams, and customers.
• Prepares estimates and supplementary information for potential projects.
• Solicits bids and quotes from subcontractors and suppliers and reviews pricing information.
