Job summary

Rosendin Electric, Inc is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead electrical construction bid work in the US. You will prepare cost estimates from quantity take-offs, review drawings and specs, and coordinate with estimators, suppliers, and customers to craft competitive bids.

You will mentor junior staff and ensure all data backs up the estimate for complex projects. Travel is up to 10%, and the role offers a comprehensive benefits package including ESOP, 401(k), annual bonus, and health coverage.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings
• Perform arithmetic calculations for estimating
• Estimate all project types and supervise team effort
• Mentor and develop Estimators
• Strong oral and written communication

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates from quantity take-off and complete estimates for bid packages
• Review drawings/specifications and attend pre-bid meetings to determine scope
• Evaluate value engineering opportunities and cost savings
• Provide leadership to personnel preparing sub-estimates
• Solicit quotes from qualified suppliers/subcontractors and verify quotations
• Ensure timely completion of client required documents
• Draft scope and proposal letters for bids and negotiated projects
• Present detailed scope-review to Chief Estimator before bid package release
• Explain project scope and risks during turnover to Project Management
• Maintain comprehensive backup files supporting estimates
