Job summary

Rosendin Electric seeks a Senior Estimator to lead bid and cost estimation for electrical construction projects. You will review specifications, drawings, and pre-bid data to prepare accurate estimates and ensure competitive scope and pricing.

You will identify value engineering opportunities, coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors, and provide leadership to a team of estimators. The role requires strong math, CAD/3D software familiarity, and the ability to manage multiple bids with tight

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints/engineering drawings.
• Perform arithmetic calculations for estimating.
• Estimate all types of projects and coordinate/supervise group work.
• Mentor and assist with development of estimators.
• Identify and meet customers' needs and requirements.
• Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Prioritize/manage multiple tasks and adapt to change.
• Oral and written communication skills.
• Be a team player and work with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimate from quantity take-off and complete cost estimate.
• Review proposal specs/drawings; attend pre-bid meetings.
• Evaluate areas for value engineering and cost savings.
• Provide leadership to personnel preparing sub estimates.
• Identify qualified suppliers/subcontractors and solicit quotes.
• Draft scope/proposal letters for bid/negotiated projects.
• Prior to bid, review scope and pricing with Chief Estimator.
