Job summary

Rosendin Electric is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead bid development for electrical construction projects. You will prepare estimates from take-off, review designs, and coordinate with estimators, suppliers, and customers to finalize competitive bids.

You will guide junior estimators, review proposals, and ensure all documents are ready for client submissions. This role emphasizes accuracy, leadership, and timely communication across teams.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Perform arithmetic calculations for estimating.
• Prepare complete estimates from take-offs and specs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimate from quantity take-off and finalize bid documents.
• Identify key factors for competitive estimates.
• Review specs/drawings and attend pre-bid meetings to define scope.
• Lead discipline sub-estimates and coordinate with suppliers.
• Maintain working documents and backup data for estimates.
• Develop labor productivity and unit costs based on site conditions.
• Prepare detailed listing of materials and equipment for estimates.
• Solicit quotes from qualified suppliers/subcontractors and review for completeness.
• Ensure timely completion of client-required documents.
• Draft scope/proposals for bids and negotiated projects.
• Provide detailed review to Chief Estimator before bid issuance.
• Explain scope and pricing during project turnover.
• Maintain Rosendin estimating program files.
