Job summary
Rosendin Electric is seeking a Senior Estimator to prepare bid/submittal documents and cost estimates for electrical construction projects. You will lead estimating efforts and work with estimators, suppliers, and customers to finalize the estimate.
Responsibilities include reviewing drawings, performing quantity take-offs, identifying competitive factors, and pursuing value engineering opportunities while maintaining thorough documentation for audit trails. Up to 10% travel may be required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is required.
- Minimum 4 years’ estimating or related experience in closing construction estimates.
- Experience with Accubid, Livecount Cloud, Bluebeam, CAD or 3D software preferred.
Responsibilities
- Prepare estimate from quantity take-off on project and complete estimate to computer printout.
- Review proposal specifications and drawings; attend pre-bid meetings to determine scope.
- Identify value engineering opportunities and lead sub-estimating for bids.
- Develop labor productivity and unit costs based on site conditions and data.
- Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to solicit quotes and verify conformance.
